District Elder Elester K. Thigpen, Sr. is a native of Pinetops, 
North Carolina, born to Claybelle Thigpen and the late Joseph Mack Thigpen. He has been married for 36years to Lady Joyce Thigpen. They have 4 children and 7 beautiful grandchildren. Ministry is a family affair for the Thigpen family as all of their children and their children’s spouses are active leaders in their ministry.
Pastor Thigpen is a man who preaches advancing yourself through education and he has practiced what he preaches. He has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Wesleyan College graduating Magna Cum Laude, and is presently pursuing his Masters Degree in Management and Leadership.
For more than 30 years, Pastor Thigpen has been a faithful servant in various capacities within ministry. He answered the call to pastorate in November of 1994, and began a great work that has touched the lives of thousands.
Pastor Thigpen is a man of vision. God has placed in his heart many great things. His extraordinary ability to lead and empower individuals spiritually and naturally is a true gift from God. His inspirational preaching and enthusiasm for the work of God motivates others to become all that God has called them to be.
